From Installation to Inspection in Three Simple Steps

TireInspector streamlines your entire tire workflow. Here's how it works from the moment a vehicle arrives to final installation.

1

Scan & Inspect

Start by creating a new vehicle inspection. TireInspector guides you through a comprehensive four-tire workflow that captures every critical data point.

Vehicle Information

Enter basic details: license plate, VIN (optional), customer name. These tie all four tires to a single vehicle record for easy lookup later.

DOT Code Capture

Use your camera to scan the DOT code on each tire's sidewall. Our OCR technology automatically extracts:

  • • Manufacture date (week and year)
  • • Plant code and tire specifications
  • • Brand and model information

Can't scan? No problem. Manual entry is available for damaged or unreadable codes.

Tread Depth Measurement

Measure tread depth at three points across each tire: inner, center, and outer. TireInspector automatically analyzes the pattern to detect:

  • • Under-inflation (center wear)
  • • Over-inflation (edge wear)
  • • Alignment issues (one-sided wear)
  • • Unsafe tread depth (<2/32")

Safety Recall Check

As soon as you enter a DOT code, TireInspector queries the NHTSA recall database. If there's a match, you'll see an immediate alert with recall details and next steps.

Visual Inspection Notes

Add photos and notes for sidewall damage, punctures, or other issues. These attach to the tire record for reference during future visits.

Print Labels

Once inspection is complete, generate professional tire labels with a single tap. Each label contains a QR code with complete tire data for instant lookup.

One-Tap Printing

Print all four labels at once or print them individually. TireInspector automatically formats labels for your connected printer model.

QR Code Technology

Every label includes a unique QR code that encodes:

  • • Tire ID for database lookup
  • • DOT code and manufacture date
  • • Tread depth at inspection time
  • • Vehicle position (FL, FR, RL, RR)

Scan any label later to instantly pull up complete tire history.

Bluetooth Connectivity

TireInspector connects wirelessly to Zebra and Brother thermal printers. No cables, no computer needed. Pair once, then print from anywhere in your shop.

Customizable Templates

Configure label format to match your workflow. Include shop logo, custom fields, or additional barcodes as needed.

Works Offline

Print labels even without internet. All data is cached locally and syncs when connectivity returns.

3

Track & Manage

Your tire inspection data becomes a powerful inventory and customer service tool. Track tires through their entire lifecycle from inspection to disposal.

Instant Lookup

Scan a tire's QR code to instantly view complete history: inspection date, tread depth, DOT code, photos, notes, and current status.

Status Tracking

Track each tire's journey through your shop:

  • In Stock: Inspected and labeled, awaiting installation
  • Installed: Mounted on customer vehicle with date and technician
  • Disposed: Recycled or scrapped with disposal date

Search & Filter

Find tires by any attribute: brand, size, DOT code, tread depth, manufacture date, or customer name. Perfect for locating specific inventory or analyzing trends.

Customer History

View all tires ever inspected for a customer. Track tread wear over time, identify patterns, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Analytics Dashboard

See key metrics at a glance: inspections per day, average tread depth, most common tire sizes, recall hits, and more. Make informed decisions about inventory and operations.

Audit Trail

Complete lifecycle history for every tire provides audit trail for compliance, liability protection, and quality assurance.
